PADI Open Water Course

$1,150.00

The PADI Open Water Diver course is your gateway to the vast and beautiful underwater world. As the most widely recognized and respected diving certification in the world, this course will teach you the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to dive with confidence at a maximum depth of 18 meters/60 feet. The course is structured into three main phases: Knowledge Development, Confined Water Dives, and Open Water Dives.

Knowledge Development: This phase is conducted through PADI eLearning, allowing you to study at your own pace. It covers the basic principles of scuba diving, such as dive equipment, safety procedures, and underwater navigation. E-learning is included in the course fee, providing a flexible and interactive way to understand the theoretical aspects of scuba diving.

Confined Water Dives: Here, you’ll learn and practice scuba skills in a pool or water body with pool-like conditions under direct supervision. You’ll learn how to set up your scuba gear, how to get water out of your mask, and many other skills necessary for safe and enjoyable diving, all while building your confidence and comfort in the water.

Open Water Dives: Applying what you've learned in the confined water dives, you'll move to the open water where you and your instructor will complete four dives at local dive sites. During these dives, you’ll demonstrate your ability to manage your buoyancy, navigate, handle potential challenges, and enjoy exploring the underwater world.

The course fee includes all eLearning and training fees. Please note, the course fee does not cover boat tickets and rentals, which are necessary for the open water dives if conducted from a boat or Catalina Island. These additional costs must be considered and planned for separately to ensure a smooth and enjoyable certification process.

Upon successful completion, you will earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification, opening the door to dive destinations around the world and moving you one step closer to advanced diving adventures.
